Matcha Smoothie

Advertisements

Matcha has definitely been on my radar lately. Everywhere I look I see beautiful pictures of bright green food made with this pretty green tea powder.  Matcha is popular, in part, because it’s powdered and easy to add into recipes.  It’s also popular because of possible anti-oxidant properties.  Matcha contains EGCG which is thought to be a powerful anti-oxidant.  EGCG is found in pretty much all green tea.  Matcha also contains fiber and caffeine which help keep you full and energized.

All the good stuff…
