It’s not always easy to find the perfect layering piece for summer weather in SoCal. It’s hot outside but the air conditioning is on full blast inside. I get cold at night and needed a unique piece to wear day and night. I chose a silk kimono by Alice and Olivia as my go to light summer layer. It’s a versatile piece that allows you to dress up or be casual. It transitions perfectly from day to night and the best part is that it’s reversible so that you can choose which side to wear depending on your current vibe. I recently wore my kimono to an early al fresco dinner in the Pacific Palisades where it was bright and sunny before sunset but a lot cooler at night. I wanted to look cute but not super dressed up so I paired it with a t-shirt, jeans, and pink suede pumps. Summer kimonos look great on everyone and come in a ton of colors, materials, and lengths. I’m 5’10” so I chose a longer style. This one is on sale right now on Alice and Olivia’s online store. You can shop the look by clicking on the links below.
